Colin Edward Lang

Born 11-03-1971.

1986 - First lessons with Cubby Periera in Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland. A great guitarist who has played with the now local legends "Take it Easy" for the last 25 years.  Kudos to Cubby.

1988 - Studying classical guitar in the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin under the tutelage of Marion Hyland. Marion is as great a teacher as she is a person. Marion and Jean Archibald helped me earn an A.L.C.M (Associate of the London College of Music) and a L.L.C.M (Licentiate of the London College of Music).

1990 - Studying  jazz guitar with one of my all-time favourite jazz guitarists, Mike Nielson, in Newpark Music Centre in Blackrock, Dublin. Mike introduced me to the world of jazz.

1995 - University College Cork was a joy in diversity of learning and, despite the controversy, the University did in fact accord me a Bachelor of Music, not least thanks to the efforts of the inimitable doctors Paul O Donnell and John Godfrey.

I extend all my teachers my deepest gratitude.

In the summer of 1999 I came to Bavaria and have since then taught guitar and worked on my music.
